Luxembourg, 19 September 2016 - INTRASOFT International, a global ICT company, has been selected, after a demanding 12-month tendering process, to undertake through its SAP solutions delivery group, the Billing and Customer Care Systems CIS Acquisition and Implementation project, of the Electricity Distribution Company (EDCO) of Jordan.

The 6,5 year contract, signed by INTRASOFT Jordan CEO, Heba Al-Majali, is the company’s first SAP project in the Middle East, materializing INTRASOFT’s plans to expand its SAP client base both in the Utilities sector and most importantly in the region.

EDCO is organized along a central headquarters and five district offices, covering the largest part of the Jordanian territory, mainly the south and east of the country, with 8,396 km of network that serve nearly 150,000 customers.

The significance of this particular project is multifold for INTRASOFT, given its strategic focus in the utilities sector for years, as well as its keen interest to expand its footprint in the Middle East. Furthermore, reinforcing its SAP delivery group with such a key client, paves the way for INTRASOFT to further attract international customers to its SAP business.

The project objective is to streamline EDCO’s core meter-to-cash operations and ensure accurate energy accounting, through the implementation of SAP’s vertical solutions for utilities, covering the Contract Accounting, Meter Data Management, Billing and Customer Interaction Center operations.

The services to be provided include requirements analysis, the EDCO SAP systems installation, system configuration/customization, migration of all EDCO’s active financial and operational data, development of enhancements, interfaces to external systems and operational/management reporting, as well as training, testing and support. INTRASOFT will also design and implement the accompanying change management strategy during project lifetime.

The project will be implemented by an international joint team of INTRASOFT International SAP consultants bringing together expertise from across the Group. INTRASOFT has been an official SAP Partner since 2004, an SAP Channel Partner since 2007 and a certified SAP PCoE - Partner Center of Expertise (PCoE) since 2012. Supported by the existing SAP expertise, INTRASOFT Jordan has already been certified as an SAP reseller and is currently preparing for its PCoE certification for the region.

Ms. Heba Al-Majali, CEO of INTRASOFT International Jordan, commented: “Our contract with EDCO is our first project of its kind in the Middle East and looking toward the future this signifies a key moment towards expanding our SAP business. We are breaking new ground in the region and we are extremely proud of expanding our client base in the Utilities sector, as part of our initiative to continuously and dynamically invest in the area of SAP”.
