Luxembourg, 16 April 2019 - INTRASOFT International, a global ICT company, announces the successful initiation of the pilot phase of CDEPS (Customs Declarations and Excise Processing System) for the Customs Administration (CARM) of the Republic of North Macedonia. The development marks a significant milestone, just before full launch in mid-2019.

CDEPS, developed in accordance with National and EU requirements, is a next generation e-customs system based on state-of-the-art technology that fully meets current and future operational needs of the CARM in the country. CDEPS facilitates the faster flow of goods by providing swift data exchanges between customs authorities, economic operators and other government institutions. The system guarantees operational stability while ensuring that the trading process becomes more time- and cost-efficient.

Mr. Gjoko Tanasoski, Director General of CARM of the Republic of North Macedonia commented: “I would like to emphasize that the customs officers, in cooperation with the INTRASOFT team, made maximal efforts for the realization of this important project, the implementation of the New Customs and Excise Documents Processing System (CDEPS). The CDEPS, as a revolutionary solution, will replace the present customs declarations processing system ASYCUDA and will enable electronic procedures to fully replace the current procedures based on use of documents in paper form. This will create a more efficient and modern customs environment in line with the latest global development. Benefiting from the introduction of this system, our Customs Service is recognized as the first in the Region that has completely compatible and interoperable system harmonized with the Customs IT systems of the European Union. The CDEPS will significantly facilitate the business activities of the participants in customs procedure, other border agencies, as well as the work of the customs officers.”

Mr. Alexandros Manos, Managing Director of INTRASOFT International commented: “As we enter our third decade of successfully delivering Customs Modernization projects around the globe, we stay strongly committed in our strategic mission to remain a key player in the Global Customs & Trade Facilitation Market. The success of the CDEPS project is a prime example of our company’s ability to completely transform the Customs IT Systems & infrastructure of a country and enable it to participate in the highly demanding and competitive Global Supply Chain landscape of the early 21st century. North Macedonia has joined a long list of customers who enjoy the evolution of our Customs Applications family in a continuing journey of embracing promising innovative technologies, Customs domain evolution trends and emerging international standards.”
